How do you describe Bill Bueler? In a single word, he was truly a character. He had a colorful personality and a unique perspective of the world around us. He was a lifelong resident of St. Louis and the Greentree Community who loved the eccentric ways of human expression and encouraged individuality. He was a promoter of Peace, Love, and Happiness and danced to the beat of a different drum. He was an innovator in his own right who oozed creativity. He was a devoted father whose sacrificed an immense amount for his children; more than almost any parent is ever asked to do. He was an explorer of new places, ideas, and theories. He was a jokester, a music lover, and a world traveler. He was an entrepreneur, an entertainer, and a showman. He was a collector of all collectors with an unconventional outlook on life and mysterious methods. He was an animal lover, a wonderful cook, and enjoyed at the amazing folk art of Woodie Long. He was a matchmaker, a teacher, and a friend. Bill Bueler was a tie-dyed, laidback, Hippie of the 60’s and 70’s whose life devotion was his four children, contributing to the development up the University City Loop, and being an independent and unique human being.
